I don’t speak French. Without a single French class on my transcript, I accepted a marketing job in a remote Alpine village. The hiring manager liked the fact that I could be a familiar voice on the phone with suppliers in the States and wouldn’t be distracted by office politics. And voila! — by not speaking French, I landed a job in France. When my visa expired, I returned to the states fluent in a new language, but it wasn’t French — I learned to speak marketing.
Sometimes the ability, service, or expenditure you think you need to succeed is actually irrelevant. What moves you forward are the unique assets that meet the needs of the end consumer. It took a lot of hard work to get to the place your are now. You have customers, fans and have built a name for yourself— and you want to capitalize on your potential to grow. It’s my mission to package your momentum and use it to exponentially expand your marketing reach. Quit trying to fix what doesn’t work. Leverage what does and bet on yourself.
After all, you can’t win if you don’t play.
